Ryanair Denies US Expansion Plans
One of the most colourful if not slightly outrageous CEO’s is of course Michael O’Leary who has been at the helm of Ryanair for a number of years now. There is one thing that you can always guarantee will happen whenever he is in front of a television camera or is in the presence of reporters, and that is he will often make an outlandish statements reading the airline he is in control of!
He has, over the years stated that he intends to or is seriously thinking of charging people to use the toilets on his planes or he is considering ripping out some of the seats and allowing people to stand for short haul flights!
However, he has just recently stated that he is going to be introducing direct flights from Europe to the US and the price of a ticket will be as low as €10.00 one way. He also stated that due to there being such a demand for long haul planes this would not become a reality for four or five years.
However, this latest publicity stunt, which is what it turned out to be, has quickly been corrected by the Board of Ryanair who have now made it perfectly clearly that they are not considering and have no intention of introducing cheap flights by Ryanair from Europe to America!
Maybe it was feared, that with the track record of budget airlines that have started to operate low cost flights from Europe to America having not been that great, with the vast majority of those airlines going bust, that this latest nonsensical publicity stunt was going to somehow affect the share price of Ryanair which was something the Board would never want to happen!
However, it may be worth you considering placing some Binary Options trades on some of the low cost European airlines sooner rather than later, more so those operating out of the UK, for with the strength of GBP against the Euro being so great there is going to be a huge number of UK citizens planning at least one trip to Europe this year, and with the massive reductions in the price of oil it is expected that the profits for those budget airlines will begin on an upward curve in the very near future, so keep that in mind when you are next planning on placing some travel related Binary Options trades.
