Apple Plans To Increase iPhone 7 Prices In Keeping With Its Philosophy

AppleApple Inc has dominated the mobile market for close to a decade with its premier iPhones that come with a very expensive price tag. During the last few years Apple Inc has faced serious competition from Samsung as the company has released a number of phones that has similar technology and features like the iPhone but comes at a much cheaper rate.

Apple Inc generally releases a new version of its iPhone and iPads every year and uses the new versions to continue to maintain its market dominance. There have been calls for Apple to lower its prices and capture an even bigger market share but the company will most likely ignore all such suggestions and stick to its core philosophy which founder Steve Jobs firmly believed in. Jobs once said that Apple would never compromise on its prices as he believed in making quality products that he could recommend and sell to his own family.

Apple’s CEO Tim Cook has continued with that philosophy and expects to raise prices on the new iPhone release this year. The iPhone 6s or the iPhone 7 is expected to be bigger than the previous version and come with a lot more cool features. Rumors suggest that Apple could also release a new gold iPhone that is pretty similar to the Apple Watch. If the company does release a gold iPhone it would be priced close to $10,000.

The company will release a new version of the iPhone and iPad in 2015 and offer a bundle of upgrades as part of a value added service which will help bring in more revenue to the company. One such service will be a memory upgrade that will cost around $100.

The new versions of the iPhone and iPad will continue to cost a lot and it remains to be seen how long consumers will continue to pay premium prices for Apple products when they have other options available to them for less. Chinese manufacturer MI.com has released a number of phones during the last couple of years at extremely low prices and has quickly earned the reputation of becoming the Apple of Asia. The Chinese company has quickly established itself to be a serious contended to both Samsung and Apple and could very well surpass both these giants in the next 5 years.
